One of only two children's chairs acquired for the Carnegie Museum of Art, the EVA Foam Chairs are expertly cut from soft, sturdy EVA foam - the same material that you'll find inside your athletic shoes. The foam makes them comfortable, safe, lightweight, durable, strong and washable. You'll find that their child-size proportions belie their strength - each piece can support a weight up to 300 pounds! Eva Foam Tables, Chairs and Stools are equally happy indoors and outside. Modularity allows all three pieces to stack together. So go ahead and take a seat, rest your feet, stack them like blocks, make a sculpture, create a room divider...
Each set of two items will include one with the lighter color as the outer stripe and one with the darker color as the outer stripe. For example, on the Red/Orange, one item will have an orange layer as the outermost layer, and the other item in the set will have the red layer on the outside.
In 1984 Lawrence Tarantino, AIA and Sharon Tarantino founded Tarantino Architect and have developed an impressive portfolio including private schools, universities, commercial, residential and preservation projects, specializing in the restoration of Frank Lloyd Wright structures. The firm holds architectural licenses in NJ, NY and PA, and a planning license in NJ. Additionally, The NJ Historic Preservation Office has listed Tarantino Architect on its roster of Historical Architects.
Tarantino Studio was formed in 2001, in an effort to bring together the diverse aspects of their practices, offering clients the full breath of their experience in product design. At the 2002 International Contemporary Furniture Fair in NYC, a children's furniture line was introduced. Since then Tarantino Collection has received a bounty of press coverage and was honored by Time Magazine as one of the "Coolest Inventions of 2002".
In 2006, Offi & Company and Tarantino Studio signed an agreement to team up to maximize the worldwide success of the Tarantino Collection of furniture made of EVA material. Preliminary discussions began over dinner at Sharon and Lawrence's fabulous Frank Lloyd Wright designed home back in 2003, and although it took three years to find the right deal both Offi and the Tarantinos are excited to be working together now. Check back often to see the newest additions to the collection. | |
